Who we are

MARQ Benefits helps employers review and lower the cost of their employee health and prescription plans. MARQ Benefits is not a licensed insurance agency or broker. Insurance products and plan placement are provided through our licensed partners. This policy explains how we handle information collected through this website and during a benefits cost review.

Information we collect

• Contact details you give us: name, company, title, work email, phone number, employee count and plan renewal month, when you use our calculator, request an analysis, download a resource, book a meeting or email us.
• Calculator inputs: the plan cost and headcount figures you enter to get an estimate.
• Plan and claims data: only if your company chooses a full benefits cost review. This data is shared under a signed mutual NDA and, where it includes protected health information, a Business Associate Agreement (BAA).
• Website usage data: pages visited, device and browser type and referring site, collected through cookies and similar analytics tools.

How we use it

• To respond to your request, schedule meetings and send the resources you asked for.
• To prepare savings estimates and, with your agreement, a benefits cost analysis.
• To follow up about our services. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
• To understand how the website is used and improve it.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use plan or claims data for marketing.

Health information

Plan and claims data may contain protected health information (PHI). We only receive PHI after a BAA is in place, we use it only to perform the review you requested, and we share it only with the licensed partners and service providers needed to perform that review, each bound by the same obligations. We ask employers to send de-identified or summary data wherever possible. PHI is returned or destroyed when the review ends, as the BAA requires.

Who we share information with

• Our licensed benefits partners, to prepare your analysis and any plan proposal.
• Service providers that host our website, email, scheduling and analytics, under contract.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information. We keep contact information while we have a business relationship or until you ask us to delete it, and plan and claims data only as long as the review and the applicable agreements require.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, by emailing Tyler@MARQBenefits.com. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
